We have a project with our client in Tallahassee, FL that requires a Technical Writer, Intermediate Will serve as a Lead Multi-media Developer within the Organizational Change Management (OCM) Office and is responsible for assisting with project oversight and for developing multimedia work products using Adobe Captivate, Adobe Creative Suite (i.e., Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition), 3D Modeling, etc. This person will be expected to provide guidance and expertise for the Multi-media team to complete assigned tasks, support, motivate, and develop OCM-Multimedia Team members skill sets, morale, and engagement, and communicate and collaborate closely with the OCM-Multimedia Project Manager to ensure the Departments resources are used most efficiently, intended business outcomes are achieved, and customer expectations are met. Day-to-Day Tasks include, but not limited to: Create storyboards, discuss project plans, follow project schedules, and manage project workloads independently while maintaining a strong working relationship and effective communication with the team members and the Multi-media Project Manager. Assist in the oversight of and the design and development of computer-based training (CBT) by using engaging learning activities, course content, quizzes and course interactions that will aid in retention and transfer, meet the business need, and support the overall training strategy of the Department of Transportation. Create compelling concepts and designs for graphics, such as banners, logos, flyers, posters, infographics, etc. using the Adobe Creative Suite. Provide guidance for and edit and create engaging video and voice over using the Adobe Creative Suite. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Journalism, Technical Writing, Business Administration, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience. Typically has 3 to 5 years of business or technical writing experience and working knowledge of multiple software and graphics packages. Knowledge of theories and practices of effective supervision, management, and leadership. Knowledge of assessment and analytical process and practices. Knowledge of industry concepts and practices relating to adult learning theories and instructional design. Knowledge of trends in creative design, processes, products, digital media, and websites. Knowledge of composition and scene lighting. Knowledge of 508 Electronic and Information Technology Standards. Skill in operating video and audio equipment Skill in strategic planning, program development, and project management. Skill in researching, compiling, and analyzing data to report findings and develop improvement solutions. Skill in providing presentations, consultation services, and training programs. Skill in using Microsoft Suite; including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc. Skill in using multimedia development tools (audio-video production, streaming media, graphic design, web site design, computer-based training software, publication software, etc.), with special emphasis on the Adobe Creative Suite and Adobe Captivate. Skill in developing auditing activities; including but not limited to surveys, investigations, quality assurance reviews. Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, prioritize, and manage complex work assignments and project schedules. Ability to research, identify, and implement innovative solutions.
