We are creating a new publishing environment using Drupal 8. We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager, ready to take on a challenge to lead the transition of 85+ websites from the legacy to the future environment and have a big impact on the organization. The technical project manager (TPM) will represent GeorgiaGov Interactives interests during the initiative, coordinate vendors, external agency customers, and internal team members during the migration, and managing smaller website projects prior to the initiatives kickoff. The role includes: Planning and logistics managing enterprise web publishing software Driving key deadlines cross functionally with different internal business partners Driving internal and vendor development initiatives Leading a variety of micro projects associated with the Drupal 8 transformation project. The TPM will report to the GeorgiaGov Interactive section director and will work closely with the director of the product and the product team. The PM will be a resident project expert that can drive key projects to completion, making sure we hit deadlines and deliver projects cross functionally in a successful manner. The TPM is the leader of projects that impact Drupal 8 transformation and demonstrates a keen understanding of development best practices, systems capabilities and constituent experience. The TPM must be able to effectively communicate value vs. risk tradeoffs in support of strategic decisions. The TPM coordinates project management activities and communications between stakeholders including the GeorgiaGov Product team, Enterprise Governance and Planning, Information Security team as necessary to run projects. Example activities include: Maintaining an enterprise project dashboard and presenting at critical panel meetings as needed. Working closely with the Product team and make sure the dashboard and project activities align to the direction set by the Product director. Managing deliverables from development and hosting partners. Driving process changes in operations and presenting a weekly update to the section director. Working with content, data, and UX teams across agencies. Communicating project metrics, risks, and contingencies. Delivering key business updates back to executive teams. Ensuring that projects move forward accordingly to agreed upon timelines, while being comfortable working within and adapting to a fluid process when necessary. Regularly communicating progress and deliverables with internal and external stakeholders. Managing project budget and timeline. Determining appropriate revenue recognition, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, and monitoring receivables for project. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience in project management in a technical, cross-functional role.
