The technical team also monitor data feeds into KHIE as well as researching errors or missing files. The Project Managers primary activity will be management of KHIE technical vendors. The Project Manager will be responsible for coordination, planning, and organization of the development, implementation, and maintenance activities for KHIE Projects. Provides analysis and negotiation of project scope, budget, schedule and performance management of the KHIE vendor contracts. Assists with planning of resources for projects. Monitors and tracks project risks, issues, budget and schedule. Keeps business sponsors and management advised of project status. Skill sets required: • At least 2 years project management experience on healthcare related projects. • Experience with HL7. • Demonstrated ability to manage vendors and contracts. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group: executives, managers, key internal and external stakeholders, and subject matter experts. • Demonstrated ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and appropriately communicate information to a diverse group: executives, managers, key internal and external stakeholders, and subject matter experts. • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: (Functional Specifications, Technical Design Documents, Use Cases, Test Cases, Interface Designs, and reviews of vendor provided documentation). Skill sets preferred: • Five years experience working with large scale healthcare-related projects including hospital information systems. • Five years experience working with vendor and contract management. • Five years experience working with government-related projects. • Five years experience working with HL7 messaging. • At least 2 years experience working on public sector healthcare-related projects using HL7 messaging assisting with system and user acceptance testing efforts. • Experience implementing EMRs in hospitals or doctors office. • Intermediate ability to use Microsoft Office products to document requirements, develop use cases and process flow charts, to create or review project schedules, to create presentations, and to capture, track and report statistical data in spreadsheets or databases.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
