We have a 30-month project with our client in Albany, NY that requires a Project Manager, Expert Plans, organizes, and integrates cross-functional information technology projects that are significant in scope and impact Day-to-Day Tasks include, but not limited to: Develop the project plan, build the project team, develop the schedule using MS Project, maintain the schedule using MS project to track progress, manage resources, manage issues, manage risks, manage changes through an established change management process, manage user acceptance of deliverables, facilitate meetings, prepare status reports, give presentations to management, and ensure adherence to project management standards and methodologies. The project manager oversees a project over the full life cycle, from origination through close out, using a formal project management methodology. He/she is the owner of the project and provides guidance and oversight to the team Mandatory Qualifications: Plans, organizes, and integrates cross-functional information technology projects that are significant in scope and impact. 84+ months-Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor level or higher degree and either a Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification or a national certification in Project Management. 84 months experience in Project Management of complex, cross-functional, multi-organizational, multi-year information technology projects with a variety of key project stakeholders defined primarily as those with the following characteristics: includes a variety of application development, vendor software (COTS) implementation and/or technology infrastructure projects. 60 months experience implementing projects utilizing industry standard project management life cycle methodologies which includes iterative project planning tracked via a Project Plan, identification of project risks and implementation of risk mitigation strategies. 24 months experience in IT customer relationship management in a governmental setting using centralized IT and project management services that includes determining service needs and facilitating service delivery; confirming resources and team structure needed to support project needs; converting business requirements into project milestones; initiating support of project activities with peers, subordinates, managers and supervisors. 24 months experience administering a multi-agency project portfolio in a governmental environment that includes implementing standardized project management templates, forms and reports; planning and estimating IT project budgets; determining project Return on Investment (ROI); preparing Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimations for proposed projects; analyzing and summarizing portfolio metrics including scope, schedule, budget and risk for governance boards, agency executives, stakeholders and enterprise portfolio managers; identifying and confirming project funding sources.
