With a focus on removing obstacles and delivering worlds best practice lab services, which enable our supported groups to achieve their goals. The CX Labs Security Operation Center (SOC) is tasked with securing lab resources to further support groups working to achieve their goals. The responsibilities of a SOC Software Engineer include designing, testing and developing tooling to help facilitate the SOC in the goal of securing CX Labs environments. The Software Engineer position will work closely with SOC team members to integrate tooling into daily workflow to optimize and streamline day to day tasks. Responsibilities Working with SOC engineers to capture requirements, develop solutions and support those solutions Proactively identifies areas for potential technical and process improvement Enforcement of security policy and all associated operational procedures Monitoring and capacity planning of tooling and their associated systems Upgrading and maintaining code base for any tooling deployed Completes time reporting in a timely and accurate fashion Required Qualifications Minimum of one year experience in developing, supporting, maintaining and troubleshooting software. Strong knowledge of Python 3 Strong knowledge of Rest and Soap APIs Strong knowledge of configuration management tooling - Ansible preferred Strong knowledge of data manipulation Working knowledge of deploying and maintaining virtual machines or containers Working knowledge of common database technologies – Postgres preferred Working knowledge of Secure Development Lifecycle Working knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines – Jenkins preferred Working knowledge of data and metrics creation Working knowledge of UI development Security experience a plus Strong command of the English language, both oral and written Education Requirements A Bachelors degree with technology focus preferred but not required.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
