Client Info :UDOT Description : Posting Title : Maintenance and Support - KSSOW - 18053 - UDOTs Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System - UDOT - Maintenance - IT/Project Scope of Work Consultant will evaluate the process by which GIS data is imported into the UPLAN servers. This will include troubleshooting and correcting Python scripts, FME/ArcGIS models, and any other procedure before data is imported into UPLAN. Solutions developed by the consultant will allow UDOT GIS to import data from the storm drain feature data collection as well as from other future sources without resulting in duplicate data. Work performed will result in documented procedures and updated or new Python scripts, and FME/ArcGIS models that will eliminate data duplication when data is imported into UPLAN. Materials needed to perform the task include: existing Python scripts and FME models as well as any documented or undocumented procedures that are currently in place to import data into the UPLAN servers. Consultant will contact UDOT immediately when anything else is needed. Regular communication between consultant and UDOT is key to the completing of a successful project. Objectives • Identify sources of duplication: o Technical issues directly related to the Python scripts and FME/ArcGIS models that are used to import data o Procedural issues such as not manually deleting existing data, not following a data chain of command, importing multiple sets of data o A combination of technical and/or procedural issues • Produce documentation to address data duplication o One document that includes: ? Procedures detailing the data chain of command ? A summary of any new or updated Python scripts and/or FME/ArcGIS models and/or any additional tools that are developed as a result of this work ? Additional recommendations as needed to ensure data duplication is avoided in the future o Python scripts (new or updated) o FME models (new or updated) • Resolve unique feature IDs o Review and correct the unique IDs as needed for the following features that are currently displaying in the “Stormwater Drainage Systems” map in UPLAN: Catch Basin, Manhole, Storm Drain Outfall, Energy Dissipation Structure, Detention Basin Outlet, Detention Basin, Storm Drain Pipe, Culvert, Trench Drain, Ditch Project Milestones 1. Summary of source of data duplication 2. Present outline of procedure approach 3. Progress update on procedures to be developed 4. Resolved unique feature IDs 5. Final procedures and scripts deliverable Project Deliverables 1. Document that summarizes the source of data duplication. Refer to existing UDOT practices and summarize potential for duplication within those practices. 2. Document that summarizes approach to resolving data duplication. This will be in outlined format with descriptions for the purpose of reviewing with UDOT. 3. Document that summarizes the resolution of unique feature IDs for each feature. 4. Final scripts, models, and procedures. Scripts and models may include Python scripts, FME models, or ArcGIS toolboxes.
