Business Group: Mostly working on the new project a lot of unknown issues so the new person needs to be familiar with the existing platform – that is listed in skillset below The team does the automation for the coding for the platform Has about 8 people Mostly heads down coding Will interact with other teams some but mostly just hands on learning with the team Typical Day in The Role: As an Application Developer/DevOps Engineer, job responsibilities include, but not limited to: Participate in developing infrastructure as code, execution plans, resource graph and change automation using Terraform. Participate in certificate management process and automate using Configuration Management tools such as Ansible. Automate the infrastructure using Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins. Perform maintenance and application support as needed. Documentation of the pipelines and infrastructure on how to use them. Automating the deployments by developing the Python Scripts. Skilled in Kubernetes, deploying micro services to Kubernetes clusters and monitoring them if they are up and running and are working as expected. Automating the provisioning of whole Kubernetes infrastructure and configuring monitoring tools like Prometheus, Data dog in order to collect and track the performances of the clusters. Debugging and troubleshooting the errors and unexpected behavior of the services. Ability to analyze, diagnose and propose solutions to user problems. Ability to write and value high quality, reusable software with minimal defects. Ability to learn and incorporate new technologies, concepts and development languages. Maintain the security of the infrastructure and the services that are running on that infrastructure. Assisting the other team members in automating deployments and help them understand the whole process. Potential for extension is not yet confirmed, but with the right candidate there may be more of a potential. Requirements: This position of DevOps Engineer is a professional one and need to have DevOps experience, automation experience, understand infrastructure and expertise in following technological stack: Strong Cassandra experience (prefer DBA experience) Jenkins Ansible Azure Kubernetes Terraform Performance of the above-mentioned duties requires an individual with education or experience in the field.
