Analyzes highly complex business requirements, designs and writes technical specifications to design or redesign complex computer platforms and applications. Provides coding direction to less experienced staff or develops highly complex original code. Acts as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts. Verifies program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing and debugging of programs. Oversees overall systems testing and the migration of platforms and applications to production. Develops new documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides. Leads projects, allocates and manages resources and manages the work of less experienced staff. Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees creation of or updates to and testing of the business continuation plan.: 7+ years application development and implementation experience. Responsibilities / Duties: • Develops custom Splunk reports, alerts and dashboards to meet customer needs in a variety of domains: IT security, financial, IT ops, human resources, physical security, etc. • Designs new Splunk solutions based on customer requirements; aid customers in refining existing Splunk deployments while applying Splunk best practices • Manages Splunk knowledge objects (Apps, Dashboards, Saved Searches, Scheduled Searches, Alerts) Required Qualifications • Strong experience and expertise engineering Splunk solutions for a variety of customers • Ability to work collaboratively with a globally distributed team • Strong sense of self-motivation; ability to identify problems and develop solutions • Ability and willingness to learn new things Desired Qualifications: • Strong skills with a scripting language; Python preferred, JavaScript and/or Perl • Experience in building Splunk Technology Add-ons and configuring field extractions for various data sources • Experience deploying/managing Splunk indexer clusters and search head clusters • Deployment experience with Splunk Enterprise Security and/or Splunk IT Service Intelligence premium solutions   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
