Recommends quality improvements to automation requirements, development, and execution, and facilitates the development and implementation of test automation frameworks. Typical Day in the Role Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Develops, maintains, and executes automated test scripts. Develops, maintains, and executes tests and metrics. Develops, maintains, and executes manual testing as needed. Write and review test strategies, test plans and test cases based on the agile stories and/or product requirements. Interact and collaborate directly with software developers, product managers, and business analysts to ensure proper development and quality of service applications and products. Interact with SDETs, QA members and technical leaders to understand systems and component specifications and recommend changes to facilitate efficient and effective testing. Participate in efforts to share testing technology and expertise within the company. Perform tasks efficiently and work together with team to ensure project success. Participates in tool analysis, creates proof of concept models, and makes recommendations to support the tools selection process. Creates and manufactures test data needed for execution or database population. Experience testing Payroll and SAP. Must be OK with a blend of manual and automation testing. Must be able to drive and own the testing/defect resolution of their assigned areas. Some black box testing will be required Qualifications: Develop and execute quality assurance test scripts, tests plans and checklists. Strong understanding of project management or software development lifecycle methodologies like ASAP, Waterfall & Agile. Excellent knowledge of test artifacts (test cases, scripts, results and defects).
