Expected to communicate via telephone, email and collaboration applications across the globe to ensure efficient deployment of new functionality, prompt resolution of production issues, documenting progress and change along the way. This individual shall have hands on experience within a DevOps environment. Tasks will include designing, developing and continually improving the Internal Integrations and Web Applications tied to our Service Level Management platforms. Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: - Provide development expertise for internally developed Applications using knowledge of Python, Django, Web Services and Containerized Applications. - Interact with the Vendor and Enterprise Database Administrators to design, develop, and enhance related databases to ensure optimal performance. - Work in close association with boundary teams, including Security, Infrastructure and Automation teams, to enhance and support our enterprise Performance Monitoring applications. - Produce postmortem reports and provide recommendations or alternatives to address system problems, deficiencies, or issues related to incidents or outages. - Assist with maintaining architecture, process and other documentation related to the SLM Application and Integration infrastructure. - Provide timely and effective resolution to Tier III support requests based on internal service level agreements. Knowledge & Experience: - Requires 4+ years working in Software Development preferably with Python and Django. - Expert scripting ability using various languages including Python, Django, JSON, XML, Bash. - Experience using source control tools such as Git/GitLab. - Experience working in a Gitflow development workflow. - Understanding of server and database configurations including Oracle, MySQL and Postgres. - Working Knowledge of Web Services, SNMP, TCP/UDP. - Understanding of operating systems including RedHat and CentOS - Proven experience in the operation and analysis of application software and standard.
