In order to support this initiative, the Center Portal Deployment Test Lead will be responsible for providing QA services and support for the deployment of the new portal. Reporting to the Senior Manager of IT, the Portal Deployment Test Lead will work with the Center IT department, UCOP IT Services, vendors, business users, and other key stakeholders to understand business requirements, design and develop test plans, manage test execution and defect resolution. The Portal Deployment Test Lead responsibilities are: Understand business requirements, functional design, and technical solution design.Review wireframes and mockups. Work within an agile and/or waterfall environment to identify any issues with product/testing requirements.Coordinate QA activities. Assist with preparation of all prescribed quality assurance artifacts including, but not limited to, master test strategy and plan, functional test plan, etc.Develop test cases according to the master test plan.Walk through test cases and the test plan prior to execution.Perform quality assurance testing and report issues as required.Prepare and participate in automation testing as required.Conduct quality assurance defect tracking reports.Participate and/or review documentation and test results in all quality assurance test phases, such as requirements validation, unit, integration, functional, and regression testing.4+ years of testing experience.Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent degree or experience.Knowledge of the quality assurance discipline, the defect life cycle management processes, and the software commonly used for test planning and defect tracking.Experience in developing test plans, writing test scripts, developing use cases, implementing Thorough understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (e.g. Requirements, Design, Development, Testing) and exposure to Agile or iterative SDLCs. Knowledge of bug-tracking systems, like HP ALM, Jira, Bugzilla, etc.Excellent interpersonal, leadership, communication, and problem solving skills.Strong collaboration, analytical, and teamwork skills. Demonstrated ability working in a collaborative and transparent environment.Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines.Demonstrated complex analytical and problem-solving skills.At least two years of experience in a product manager, project management or business analyst role.Experience with Drupal.Experience with InFlight technology.
