Job Description : We are currently seeking an experienced Automation QA Engineer with applicable test automation experience who will be part of and direct the testing of wholesale product performance against documented requirements, specifications and standards. This hands-on position engages in Automation Quality Assurance efforts for enterprise systems development and is responsible for implementing and evolving a comprehensive quality assurance program within an agile product development process. Required: Java, Selenium, XML, SQL. Pluses: Flex, Python, experience working with off-shore developers. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Develops testing strategies and quality standards. Plans and implements testing, coordinates with other departments, and regularly publishes reports on progress and results. Investigates, selects and implements automation solutions for testing. Works with other departments to incorporate testing requirements into product design and implementation. Identifies and champions key quality and performance issues in new products. Perform other job-related duties and work on special projects as required. ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education and Experience: BS degree or recognized certificate in Computer Science, SW Testing, EE or related technical discipline. Minimum 4 years as Automation QA Engineer or Developer with applicable test automation experience Minimum 6+ years of QA experience in a computer software and/or hardware environment. Must have solid understanding of QA test methodologies. Experience writing test plans and working with project teams to coordinate test schedule. Experience working with bug tracking databases. Familiarity with relational database concepts, including hands-on SQL experience. Understanding of and experience with Windows NT and Linux operating systems. Strong experience with the following programming or scripting languages: Java, Python, XML. Experience creating customized/in-house automation tools. Experience creating automated test scripts and batch files. Experience with planning and setup of QA test environments. Experience developing test result metrics and reporting them. Experience mentoring and supervising other local and off-shore QA engineers. Experience with Flex is a huge plus. Experience with the Web. Experience with start-up helpful. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Able to work with multiple departments in a growing and changing agile environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to work well with a team as well as independently. Excellent technical skills. Highly organized, oriented to schedules and deadlines.
