Job Description Analyst: IBM I Server., QA, Risk Analysis, Software Development Project Lead

**Candidate must be our W2 Employee.

The Quality Assurance Analyst - iSeries performs testing of small to medium software development applications using QA testing practices and frameworks. This role acts as a test/project lead, and provides appropriate and timely status, metrics and communication to stakeholders. The QA Analyst implements and refines changes in QA standards and practices.

Required Qualifications:
Previous IBM i/iSeries/AS400 testing experience
3 years of full life cycle Software Quality Assurance process experience (requirements
analysis, decomposition, test case design, prioritization and risk analysis, test execution,
metric reporting, etc.).
Degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
Successful history as a Quality Assurance test/project lead, including planning,
estimating and prioritizing.
Demonstrated ability to analyze requirements and create efficiently designed and
planned test cases. As well, ability to scale testing efforts to support aggressive agile-like
project timelines.
Proven test design, risk analysis, and prioritization skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate
with project stakeholders.
History of working independently and with minimum supervision.
Track record of balancing multiple priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the
changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines.
Understanding of multiple IT technical platforms, and application development
methodologies.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Flexibility to work evening and weekend hours for installations, implementations, and
upgrades.

Preferred Qualifications - Functional Testing:
o Proficient in requirements analysis, design, risk analysis, and prioritization skills
on medium sized software development projects.
o Demonstrated experience with system development life cycle methodologies.
o Proficient with Hewlett-Packard Quality Center (HP QC).
Automated Regression Testing
o Demonstrated experience in the execution and maintenance of automated
regression test suites.
o Proficient with Hewlett-Packard Quality Center (HP QC).
o Proficient in Hewlett-Packard Quick Test Pro (HP QTP)
Performance Testing
Position Description
o Demonstrated experience in the execution and maintenance of performance
regression test suites and project specific testing.
o Proficient in Hewlett-Packard (HP) LoadRunner.

Key Areas of Responsibility for test project assignments:
o Perform analysis of business requirements for accuracy, completeness, redundancy,
ambiguity, and testability.
o Define testing scope, approach, risks, and assumptions.
o Design, build, and prioritize test cases.
o Create and maintain the testing project schedule.
o Execute testing.
o Report and communicate test status and metrics to project stakeholders.
o Participate in the implementation of changes to Software Quality Assurance policies, practices,
technologies and documentation.
o Regularly report project status and metrics.
o Participates in peer reviews of project deliverables.

Responsibilities for small and medium sized testing efforts:
o Provide a technical review of project deliverables including requirement specifications,
functional designs, technical designs and other project documentation to ensure the
testability of requirements.
o Work with development and user community to define and develop testing requirements
to validate software solutions were built to specifications.
o Create and maintain project testing schedule to track progress and ensures completion of
testing within schedul
