The candidate will participate in the business intake, business requirements analysis, design, unit test scripts development and QA activities in support of the agencys continued development of a SACWIS LINK application. The specific focus of this candidate will be the key LINK production support, LINK enhancement design and development of LINK environments. POSITION ROLE AND DELIVERABLES The candidate will serve in the capacity of a business analyst, providing business and technical analysis in support of applications in the agencys PowerBuilder and COBOL/DB2 environments. The candidate analyzes and documents requirements for information systems; develops and/or oversees plans for automated data processing systems from project inception to conclusion; constructs data models and activity/process models as may be required to define system functions; coordinates closely with the Technical Architect, LINK Central Program Unit or peer analysts to ensure proper implementation of program and system specifications; develops, in conjunction with functional users, alternative solutions; provides support for the installation, testing, implementation and ongoing maintenance of LINK batch and PowerBuilder systems; may assist in testing, debugging, and refining the computer software to produce the required product and prepares required documentation. The candidate may also conduct and document the results of special studies dealing with systems and/or business process issues; analyze functional business applications and creates design specifications for developing programs; develop block diagrams and logic flow charts, and translates detailed design into computer software. Specifically, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring that recommended modifications to the LINK Application meet the operational mission of the application as well as conform to the expected technical standards of the application. Responsibilities also include, but are not limited to: 1.The analysis and design of appropriate solutions to change management initiatives in support of the LINK Application. 2.Works with the LINK Central Program Unit (LCPU) to fully engage the business partners to ensure a proper resolution to a change need in the LINK Application. 3.Thoroughly documents specifications and design criteria, following Agency IS standard. 4.Facilitation of requirements gathering meetings, presentations and/or design sessions.
