Serves as the technical lead for the infrastructure components of a development project and interacts heavily with GTI resources (DBA, system admins, network engineers, and storage engineers), the application development team, application architect, performance and the quality assurance teams. Assists in driving estimates for infrastructure project work, team budgets and forecasting. Works closely with application production support team on infrastructure changes related to project deployments. Maintains and provides documentation and training related to ongoing support and troubleshooting of new infrastructure hardware or tools to support the application. Provides assessments to management teams indicating business opportunities and critical success factors. Ability to quickly learn how business processes align to application functionality in order to solicit input from subject matter experts that would drive infrastructure modifications. Affects change within sphere of influence and leads development of innovative improvements and world-class practices.
