Evaluate projects and test scenarios eligible for automation Determine and compute return on investment for functional automation Provide project estimates based on corporate guidelines and QA methodologies Build and maintain automation scripts across projects Guide the integration of automation into ETS release management schedules Enhance the SDLC to include automation deliverables Define test objectives, write test plans and test cases, and develop automated test scripts for functional, system, regression, UAT, load, and performance tests Configure and manage QA test environment for software under test Work in a team environment with architects, developers, project manager, and systems engineers to ensure the timely delivery of quality products into production Perform accurate test and defect tracking, resolution, and reporting Provide help to users concerning system capabilities, program procedures, and data manipulation Assist in the development, building & mentoring of an automation team May spend up to 25% of time dedicated to Quality Assurance activities other than automation depending on projects/initiatives Other duties as assigned Requirements Knowledge & Skills Target Competencies MINIMUM: Bachelors Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Management or Business Administration 6+ years IT experience in Quality Assurance and software application testing 3+ years experience writing automation test scripts OR 4+ years IT experience in application development 2+ years experience writing automation test scripts PREFERRED: Banking or financial services experience MINIMUM: Demonstrates hands-on knowledge & experience in programming/scripting using minimum one programming languages or scripting tools such as Java, JavaScript, DotNet, VBscript, etc. Demonstrates hands-on knowledge & experience in using minimum one functional automation tools such as UTP, Selenium, TestComplete, etc. Demonstrates familiarity with defect tracking and testing tools Demonstrates good understanding of building/implementing various automation frameworks, various automation approaches, and automation object identification mechanism Demonstrates ability to performing troubleshooting and maintenance of test scripts Demonstrates strong, clear and articulate verbal & written communication skills (extensive reports, processes) Demonstrates strong Interpersonal skills to work across all levels of the organization (management, technical and business constituents) Demonstrates strong knowledge and understanding of industry standards, quality processes and metrics Demonstrates strong analytical and effective decision-making skills PREFERRED: Demonstrates knowledge of automation strategy and best practices Demonstrates expertise of UFT/QTP automation tool Demonstrates expertise of vb script Demonstrates clear and effective presentation and facilitation skills   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
