We have a 24-month project with our client in Albany, NY that requires a Project Manager, Expert Day-to-Day Tasks include, but not limited to: The project manager will work as a member the Office of Special Education unit. They will be primarily responsible for holding RFP development meetings, gathering information required to develop two requests for proposals for system design, development and implementation and another for Quality Assurance. The consultant will be the primary program area liaison to work with the Portfolio Management Office and the Contract Administration unit on the RFP development. The selected candidate be the primary author of both RFPs and as such will be required to provide written and oral presentations to executive level staff. This selected candidate will have no input into the selection process for the winners of the resulting RFPs. After selection of the winners by state staff, the candidate Project Manager will be responsible for aiding the program area office in overall management of the resulting projects. Mandatory Qualifications: Plans, organizes, and integrates cross-functional information technology projects that are significant in scope and impact. 84+ months - Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field. Preferred Qualifications: 84 months experience with directly managing project costs, establishing/maintaining project schedule, establishing/managing risk management strategy, and status reporting. 84 months experience with facilitating communication in all aspects of the project including meetings between vendors and staff, writing for executive level leadership, and presenting in both written and verbal form to large groups. 84 months experience with planning and managing knowledge and operational transfer of a high priority application. 60 months experience with planning and managing web-based, service-oriented architecture applications and infrastructure upgrade projects. 84 months as a certified project management professional. 60 months of experience with planning and implementing automated, data exchange between internal and external systems. 60 months managing projects in the public education area.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
