The role is responsible for analyzing security risks, planning controls, developing policies and procedures to implement security practices. In addition: Coordinates implementation of security controls, designs and implements controls, monitors compliance with security policies and procedures. The Security Analyst should have capabilities with 4-7 years of experience and be familiar with standard security concepts, practices, and procedures. The Analyst relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Success in this role will require experience with the following technologies at minimum: • Microsoft Active Directory • Mainframe security (RACF) and mainframe application security on the IBM Z\OS platform and Host on Demand (HOD) • Additionally, experience with Business Objects security, the State of Wisconsin WAMS (Web Access Management System) tool, PowerShell, or workflow automation would be beneficial. This position will work independently and as a member of a team processing access and revocation requests for state applications following defined procedures. This role provides support via a helpdesk model and the candidate will be expected to provide support, as well as develop and maintain professional relationships to support agencies and partners, which range from counties and tribes to third party contracting firms working on behalf of the state of Wisconsin. Staff are required to maintain confidentiality while enforcing the laws, rules, policies and data sharing agreements which apply to this function. On call responsibilities may be required.
