Responsibilities: Leverage a suite of tools to identify, recommend, and make SQL tuning changes that have a positive impact on business application performance Participate and lead where appropriate in architectural reviews, making both tactical recommendations as well as circling back to recommend and align strategy Designs logical and physical databases and coordinates database development as part of project team, applying knowledge of database design standards and database management system Continuous reviews of the design of existing database objects and provide recommendations to correct existing deficiencies Reviews application designs of development staff incorporating best practices and standards into the designs Identifies database requirements by working with business analysts, application architects and development staff; analyzing department applications, evaluating existing systems and designing proposed systems Recommends solutions by defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, database security, data back-up, and recovery specifications Installs revised or new systems by proposing specifications, recommending optimum access techniques Primary Skills : * BS degree in Computer Science; or minimum 5 years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience * Hands on experience as a development database administration in a RDBMS Environment * High proficiency in using tools such as Dynatrace, Foglight Performance Analyzer, and built-in tools to baseline, identify opportunities, tune, and report out improvements * Must have expert knowledge of MS SQL2008R2 and newer * Excellent problem solving and communication skills including working with business and technology counterparts on prioritization and change resolution * Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills * Highly analytical and detailed oriented, with strong problem solving skills * Exhibit initiative and creativity and commitment to excellence and quality   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
