Experis is looking for a QA Automation/Manual Test Engineer that will provide automated and hands-on testing of Hybrid HTML5 mobile applications. Were looking for a talented automation engineer to join our QA team based in Suitland, MD. You should have a strong background and experience on both front-end and back-end testing. You will write automation scripts, perform system testing and integration testing. You will have an opportunity to play a key role in growing our products and scaling our platform. We need a QA Engineer who has strong communication, analytical and technical skills who wants to take an active part in growing, developing, and implementing new and existing products that will allow our client to meet their organizational missions. Key Responsibilities: Work closely with Product Owners to understand product specifics and to create corresponding test strategies Design and develop both manual and automated test scenarios Create defect and test coverage reports Contributes to an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork within the organizations Agile project lifecycle Execute testing on both mobile front end and back end systems. Run test validations at various levels including DB validation, logging validation, and UI validation Develop automated approaches for testing HTML5 based mobile applications for Android & iOS platforms. Use automated test tools such as Appium, Protractor, Karma, to test Hybrid HTML5 applications on multiple hardware platforms. Job Qualifications: Strong understanding of QA methodology and the Software Development Life-cycle Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and debugging skills 3+ years experience in creating test scenarios off of User Stories and requirements Demonstrated ability to trace requirements changes to test cases and test scripts 3+ years experience developing test automation frameworks and automating test cases Demonstrated ability of tracking and reporting software defects Demonstrated experience in writing UI Automation scripts to test javascript Demonstrated experience using automated test solutions such as Appium, Protractor, Karma, etc. Familiar with open source development and testing tools Experience with front end User Interface Automation Testing Experience with Web Services (REST) API testing Demonstrated experience in agile development including continuous integration exposure Strong team player capable of working hands on with developers Must be a team player and have excellent written and oral communication skills Must be flexible in working with team members at all levels of experience BS degree in Computer Sciences or related field (an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience may be considered), or equivalent work experience.
