Job Description : It is in search of a Java and Python Developer for a food conglomerate. This position is responsible for the development and support of Java and Python applications, as used within Risk Management (newly deployed Front Arena Solution and its integrated services.) The overall solution provides position management for customer deals & structures, hedge trades, and all key processing activities (specific to derivatives trading) including generation of structured products customer confirmations, customer invoice creation, money movements, and general ledger accounting. This role requires an in-depth understanding of structured derivative trading business and ensuring that Financial Reporting accounting standards are met. This role requires an understanding of instruments, key business processes required to support a derivative structured trading business and a strong knowledge of the overall design/use of Front Arena in order to meet business requirements. This is a developer role that works directly with the Front Arena Application Manager, Business Systems Design Analysts, and with the Trading Technologies team to enable future capabilities. The role is expected to monitor and maintain the highest levels of best practices as it relates systems development and application of agile methodology. Principal Accountabilities: • Responsible for all Python-based extensions and customizations of the Front Arena application. • Responsible for suite of integration applications that provide near-real-time ETL from CRMs Oracle database to Front Arena (Python and Java). • Responsible for first-line non-Python customizations for Front Arena (ADFL, Extension Manager, UI customizations). • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the Front Arena Application Manager. Qualifications Required Qualifications: • 6+ years of programming experience. • 2+ years of experience in Python programming. • 3+ years of Java development • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • High degree of accountability & ability to take initiative and work independently, perform well under pressure and establishing priorities to meet deadlines. • Ability to work occasional nonstandard business hours and to adapt positively to a changing environment. Preferred Qualifications: • 3+ years working with SQL / RDBMS. • 2+ years experience in test-driven development (TDD) or behavior-driven development (BDD) methodologies. • Experience with the Django python web framework. • Experience developing in a service-oriented architecture (SOA) environment • Previous experience in a trading environment or commodities business a plus.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
