Candidates should be local as there will be a need to visit the site during the course of the contract. Candidates will likely have a break in service and billable hours between the phases of RFP assessment, so contractors should be aware of this and be able to accept this as part of the role. To ensure the success of the NJCFS Modernization Project, the New Jersey Office of Information Technology (NJOIT) wishes to retain a full-time NJOIT Senior Consultant with experience in accounting systems implementation in the public sector that includes business process reengineering. The NJOIT Senior Consultant will be responsible for managing project activities that require close coordination with the awarded vendors solution, the NJ Office of Information Technology (NJOIT), the NJ state business owner at the Office of Management & Budget (OMB), and all interfacing partners. These project activities will include, but not be limited to: • Review Request for Information (RFI) about accounting software in todays marketplace • Review, document, and evaluate vendor responses from the RFI • Gather and document existing processes in the State of NJs accounting system • Gather and document business, functional, and technical requirements of the future system • Write draft version of Request for Proposal (RFP) or Request for Quote (RFQ), which ever is decided upon • Document and assist in the evaluation of vendor responses to the RFP / RFQ • Assist in the overseeing the implementation of the selected solution • Create and maintain the overall project plan and schedule. • Conduct regular project status meetings and publish meeting minutes • Present weekly reports defining project progress, milestones, deliverables, problems, and solutions. • Brief the Executive Steering Committee on project progress issues and risks every 2 – 4 weeks • Creating and maintaining a project risks and issues log. Working to resolve or escalate risks and issues as necessary to avoid negative project impacts. • Solve technical and non-technical problems throughout implementation of the project. • Coordinate with other NJ Office of Information Technology internal units. • Create and maintain project budgets and related budget materials. • Create the test plans and use cases. • Assist with executing tests. • Develop a training outline and the necessary resources needed   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
