Job Description Manager: RTC, RAM, Scripting Languages, Java ANT SCM Practices DB Technologies I

Description:
Targeted Skills & Competencies: Provide technical expertise and team leadership to Institutional Administrative Technology team in the area of DevOps and Software Configuration Management. This role will serve as a strong technical SME to work alongside application development teams to incorporate source control, application build automation, continuous integration, automated deployments and testing. This role is for a hand on technical leader requiring in-depth knowledge of Rational tools including RTC, RAM, RRC; Java, Ant, Scripting languages, SCM practices, Agile, and db technologies.

Expected Responsibilities: This role is for a hand on technical leader requiring in-depth knowledge of Rational tools including RTC, RAM, RRC; Java, Ant, Scripting languages, SCM practices, Agile, and db technologies.

Tasks and Responsibilities: Provide technical expertise and team leadership to Institutional Administrative Technology team in the area of DevOps and Software Configuration Management.

Suggested Experience & Qualifications: Bachelors degree with minimum 10 years of IT industry experience as a Software Engineer in developing/supporting web/database applications on Unix/Linux environment. Experience in developing/implementing Shell scripts/Perl scripts in Unix/Linux environment Experience in IBM-Rational technologies as Build Engineer supporting IBM Rational tools Experience on Build technologies and build tools Rational Team Concert (RTC) and Build Forge. Experience on Rational Tools like Rational Team Concert(RTC), Rational Portfolio Manager(RPM) and Rational Asset Manager(RAM). Experience on Java, building and deploying Java applications using AN, or other build technologies. Experience on Software configuration management, change management, release management and version control process. Experience on developing and implementing build scripts, scheduling and automating build process. Experience on performing code builds, data build, build labeling, build deployment to different environment and production deployment using RTC or other Deployment tools. Experience on performing build verification test (BVT). Experience in crating task/work items/stories, creating task to team members, and managing the tasks using RTC. Experience on managing build servers, shell scripts and build databases.
