They must work well within a team environment, and demonstrate the highest level of personal and professional integrity, while working with customers & colleagues. BI Analysts contribute to the business intelligence, reporting, and data analysis needs of the organization. They facilitate information gathering, conduct analyses of functional business processes and participate in the development of business requirements, priorities, and defining key performance indicators (KPI). They develop, design and document dashboards, alerts, and reports. They are masters of documentation. They design and develop universes, marts, and other data sources for reporting purposes, whether self-service, or for their own needs. They provide data that is accurate, congruent and reliable, and ensure the information is easily available to users for direct consumption or integration with other systems. BI Analysts must also be able to educate and train customers to use the data and self-service reporting tools as well. BI Analysts turn data into information and knowledge, understanding how that information/knowledge supports and enables key business processes, and communicate those Insights for maximum business impact. To do so they must have an in-depth understanding of the business environment and an interest in going beyond the obvious, delving into the source, finding insights, and turning those insights into a story to drive impact and better decision making. Finally, they must be able to confidently present findings to all levels of management. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Education - Bachelors Degree or equivalent in business, liberal arts, computer science, application programming, software development, information systems, database administration, mathematics, engineering, or other related field Experience - 5 years of experience typically gained through skills/knowledge/abilities in the field Preferred Qualifications: Business Objects Universe creation and report development, Tableau Data Source and report development, and RPX reporting development.
