BUSINESS ANALYSIS CONSULTANT Location: Minnetonka, MN Contract Length: 5 months Contract What Project/Projects will the candidate be working on while on assignment? Managing monthly financial reporting process for M&R Finance, consisting of various SAS programs Work on ad-hoc customer requests that may lead to creation of complex queries and reports using SAS Enterprise Guide programming. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the impact on managed processes in-light of enhancement changes in the upstream systems and/or accounting changes - take remedial actions as necessary to validate results Is this person a sole contributor or part of a team? Part of a team - Regional Reporting team. There are 7 members on the team currently, will be filling in for one that will be on maternity leave. What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position? Managing monthly financial reporting process for M&R Finance, consisting of various SAS programs Work on ad-hoc customer requests that may lead to creation of complex queries and reports using SAS Enterprise Guide programming. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the impact on managed processes in-light of enhancement changes in the upstream systems and/or accounting changes - take remedial actions as necessary to validate results Enhancing various monthly financial reports, pulled together using SAS EG and finished in Microsoft Excel. Provides end user support and serves as an IT subject matter resource for reporting package Assists in functional and performance testing as needed, performing business validation resulting from SAS programs. Assists in the development of IT communication and business training materials, processes, and procedures related to reporting packages and reporting systems What software tools/skills are needed to perform these daily responsibilities? SAS (including Enterprise Guide) Microsoft Office Tools Smartview/Essbase (nice to have) What skills/attributes are a must have? 3-5 years of experience in software development (using languages such as Java, .NET, or SAS (including Macro programming) 3-5 years of SAS programming skills 3-5 years of data analysis and reporting experience, including business validation Rigorous attention to detail, inquisitive personality and passion for knowledge & experience Strong analytical skills, work ethic, independence, problem solving ability and overall positive attitude Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task while under pressure What skills/attributes are nice to have?
