Business Application and Integration Services (BAIS) is a team within Enterprise Systems seeking an experienced and highly motivated Lead Integration Engineer interested in using evolving technologies such as Docker containerization, cloud native Java based microservices, and RESTful APIs to solve business problems within a dynamic technical environment. The Lead Integration Engineer will play an active role in designing, building, and implementing an integration architecture to enable productivity, improve constituent experiences on both desktop and mobile platforms, and promote a highly decoupled application ecosystem. Dedicated to the success of the team, the Lead Integration Engineer works closely with application and cloud architects, developers, business partners, and external vendors to design, implement, and orchestrate integrations, to promote compliance with and evangelize integration architecture designs, and to enhance the Virginia Tech experience. The Lead Integration Engineer brings to the position a deep understanding of modern software development and integration coupled with a commitment to providing innovative solutions to solving enterprise technology challenges.
