Implementation of State data networking solutions including data center switching infrastructure, statewide MPLS network, Capitol Complex fiber network, Internet access, and other key network infrastructure components. Work with a team of ITS network engineers, ITS project managers, State agency technical staff and/or vendors on various communications projects such as large agency WAN migrations, connectivity to critical State applications, large customer moves, migrations to new voice, data and/or video technologies, State Data Centers network solutions, and upgrades to core infrastructure components. Required Skills/Experience: Provide the minimum required skills and/or experience the contractor must possess to qualify for this position. These requirements will be transferred to the Score Sheet and candidates without these requirements reflected on their resume will NOT be presented to the manager for consideration. 6+ years of working knowledge deploying/maintaining LAN, WAN, and data center infrastructures 5+ years experience with Cisco Catalyst series routers and switches 5+ years experience with routing protocols including BGP 5+ years experience with configuring and troubleshooting QoS on Cisco routers. Strong customer-service, oral and written communication, technical documentation, time-management, and project management skills: Preferred/Not Required: Provide any skills/experience that would be helpful for the candidate to possess but not required.
