Examples of data to be retrieved includes the property tree in the recipe workbench and specification value assignments. Key Responsibilities: 1. Analyzes Project-specific business requirements for data that needs to be pulled out of PLM to determine how this will be done. For example, they will be shown fields on an SAP PLM screen, and be tasked with understanding where this is stored in PLM so it can be retrieved, and to conceptualize how to make this easy to consume in reporting. 2. Responsible for delivery of the design, code, testing and documentation, based on system and technical requirements 3. Works with solution architects to determine the most appropriate source for the information in PLM 4. Designs and develops ABAP extraction programs (or BADIs, function modules) to retrieve the information needed out of PLM 5. Designs and develops custom SAP tables to store the results of the extraction programs 6. Sometimes the data warehouse may already have the source tables, so then their task could be to propose how it could be modeled in the data warehouse, and document detailed logic (pseudocode) for how the tables should be read, etc. 7. Presents the design in an Architectural review meeting with Solution, ETL and Data Architects 8. Technical Specification with transformation logic 9. High Level End-to-End data flow diagram Key Competencies: 1. Strong problem solving and analytical skills 2. Ability to work independently and within a team setting 3. General Knowledge of key data warehousing and standardized reporting principles Experience & Qualifications: 1. Technical Experience required: SAP PLM, ABAP 2. Experience with RD&E processes and data 3. Other experience that would be nice to have - SAP ECC, SQL, Teradata-SQL 4. Education: Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in analytics and reporting discipline 5.
