Job Description Analyst: UDB DataBase, SAP, RPG, Development Niche

Description:
The consultant, under the direction of the State Project Lead, will assist the Client with recovering DB2 data bases from the IBM I Series. The data will need to be transferred to a UDB database and then incorporated into Clients SAP BI tool.

Currently client has an IBM I Series that is no longer utilized except to look up historical data. The client will need to get the data from the I Series and into SAP Business Intelligence Environment. Because client currently only has a production environment for the BI Tools, client will require the consultant to install a development environment, write reports, conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and promotion to production. The application on the I Series was programmed in RPG. The reports will need to be backward engineered and written utilizing the SAP BI Tools.
The consultant will need to train users, developers and system administrators on the BI Tools. The training will be SAP authorized curriculum either on site or virtual classroom.

SCOPE OF WORK

Consultant must perform all activities to the agreed upon project plan/schedule.

Retrieve DB2 database from the IBM I Series to a UDB database.

Utilizing SAP Business Objects:

Install a development environment for SAP install;

Build a universe for the data (the data is static);

Re-write up to 17 reports utilizing the SAP BI Tool;

An opportunity for 10 additional reports utilizing the SAP BI Tool.

Training the following on the BI Tools:

Two (2) systems administrators;
Two (2) developers; and
Eight (8) users.

DELIVERABLES

Consultant must provide the following based on the agreed upon project plan/schedule.

UDB Database on NDOCs server;

A functioning development environment;

A functioning universe;

17 rewritten reports;

10 additional reports written from scratch;

Training on the SAP tools; and

Bi-weekly status reports to include, but not be limited to:

Overall completion status of the project in terms of the approved project plan and schedule;

Problems that were encountered and proposed/actual resolutions;

Issues that need to be addressed;

Accomplishments during the period; and

Activities to be accomplished during the next reporting period.


WORK ORDER TRAVEL

If requested by the agency, consultant may be required to travel to a work location outside of their assigned work location. Consultant will be reimbursed travel expenses and per diem at the rates allowed for State employees at the time travel occurs
