The Packager will be responsible for packaging all applications in the legacy Janus desktop estate onto a secured Windows 10 platform and perform initial application and deployment testing before handing off to the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) team. Duties and Responsibilities · Responsible for packaging applications to Janus Henderson standards · Complete the application packaging phase within the project timeframes · Manage the deployment of applications to a globally distributed desktop and Citrix environment · Adhere to testing processes and procedures for both packages and deployments · Provide third line application deployment support · Provide a high level of service to the Active Directory and Unified Client projects · Work closely with the rest of the IT to ensure a consistent, standardised global environment · Ensure that policies defined by the Security team are implemented and maintained · Identify and highlight areas of the environment that can be improved · Assumes additional duties as assigned · Will potentially require occasional out of hours work including bank holidays and weekends Other Functions Assumes additional duties as assigned Technical Skills and Qualifications · Experience working on previous Windows O/S migration projects in a multi-domain environment · Microsoft Application Virtualisation (App-V) 5.1 – Sequencer and advanced troubleshooting · Microsoft SCCM Current Branch – Application configuration and Deployment management · Flexera AdminStudio Suite – Repackaging Applications for Windows Installer, msi and mst · Scripting languages: PowerShell and VBScript · Client technologies: Windows 7/10, IE11/Edge, VMWare Workstation, Office 2010 and 365 · Citrix XenDesktop 7.6 LTSB technologies – Application deployment and publishing · Microsoft Windows Group Policy Management · Solid understanding of UE-V 2.x and its role in environment virtualisation Competencies Required · Highly motivated with a passion for technology and technical detail · Good team and knowledge transfer skills · Solution-focused and committed to high quality delivery and team performance · Self-motivated with the ability to learn on the fly · A good communicator who can discuss technical subjects in layman terms · Must have experience of high pressure, large scale, and complex system environments · Good problem solving and analytical skills Compliance Requirements At a minimum the role requires the individual to: · Place the interest of Janus Hendersons Clients first and always act in accordance with TCF (Treating Customers Fairly) principles · Understand and comply with any federal, state, and foreign laws and regulations applicable for the role, and seeking the guidance of Compliance if this is unclear at any time · Understand and comply with al   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
