Job Description: Client is immediately seeking a Manual Test Engineer in support of a growing Government Integrator in Columbia, MD. The qualified individual will be part of a collaborative and agile team that supports and builds modern, cutting edge technologies/applications in an innovation driven environment, developing next generation Healthcare platforms. The selected candidate will have experience in Manual testing utilizing HP ALM (QC), 508/ADA compliance, and Jira in an Agile environment. Location: Columbia, MD (Fully Remote during COVID) Duration: Temp to Perm Compensation: Competitive based on years of relevant experience & education Clearance: Able to obtain & maintain a positions of Public Trust Responsibilities: Full lifecycle testing of a new Java based web application that is integrated with other systems and services. Participate in the JAD sessions of the system early in the software development cycle, influencing it to testing quality and adherence to the specification. Participate in the full life cycle of an agile project and design and develop test cases Develop, manage and execute test cases for functional, integration, regression testing that verify functional and nonfunctional requirements of a feature. Investigate, document and debug test failures, updating tests or reporting bugs as necessary and provide test coverage analysis utilizing Test Rail Ensure that the teams acceptance criteria for stories and tasks is appropriate and being met universally for testability Collaborate with development organization to understand how development changes affect ongoing testing efforts Ensure proper version control and configuration management of all test cases developed and test environments used Requirements mapping to test case specification. Exceptional team player and collaborate and communicate well with development team, business analysts team and stakeholders Monitor progress against deliverables, employing effective risk and issue management strategies Coordinate with the Business Analysts and Developers in planning and conducting the tests Develop and maintain effective working relationships with CMS stakeholders and other contractors Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree and 6+ years of related manual testing experience w/ enterprise level web applications 6+ Years of Experience efficiently and effectively analyzing and testing programs and program changes. 6+ years of hands on experience with scripting, running performance tests, result analysis 4+ executing complex projects using Agile methodologies Preferably Agile SCRUM Experience with some 508 or ADA or WCAG compliance testing, utilizing tools such as JAWS Experience with test case and defect management software, to manage test cases, plans, runs, and document defects. (preferably Test Rail software) Experience with collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence and SharePoint Exceptionally strong communication skills, verbal and written Preferred Qualifications: Active Public Trust Experience supporting projects in the FedHealth, CMS, HHS, or Enterprise Healthcare Experience with Test Rail software for defect management Experience with 508 compliance testing utilizing JAWS Ability / proven experience mentoring junior team members Any Automation testing experience   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
