The Business Analyst 2 independently executes on efforts varying in size, complexity and subject matter. May take on a lead role and assist with mentoring others. Responsibilities include operating in a business analyst or product owner team role eliciting the business needs, understanding the business priority and ability to speak on behalf of the business customer while maintaining flexibility to perform multiple functions within the team. The Business Analyst role models and demonstrates the companys core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others. Proficient in executing in the Business Analyst, Product Owner or Epic Owner role for various types of projects and initiatives. Elicit, define and analyze medium - complex requirements in various formats ensuring they are testable, measurable and traceable. Lead the appropriate teams to refine, prioritize and manage requirements in various tools such as templates, Team Backlogs, Requirements Management or Agile Task Management applications. Collaborate with the appropriate teams to build the business case and project justification. Lead requirement walk-throughs with key stakeholders using various methods such as team demos, workshops, sprint planning and backlog refinement sessions. Identify and estimate work effort based on priority for Planning (Requirement Work Plan, PI Planning, Sprint Planning). Define and resolve dependencies, issues and risks along with identification of impacted areas through team collaboration. Identify and define business process for current and future state analysis. Demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving skills independently and with a team. Act as the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams. Facilitate the discussion that leads to the build versus buy decision. Participates in growing the competency by mentoring, providing on-the-job training to more junior associates or helping to develop training materials/process improvements. Drive results with minimal authority. Break down a medium - complex vision into smaller projects, initiatives or features. Build subject matter expertise in a business area and/or is experienced in the industry best practices as well as understands different technologies. Contributes in strategic roadmap efforts.
