Job Description : It is supporting a permanent position as a Data Cloud Architect with a large financial institution in Columbus, OH. Brief Description: Seeking a Data Cloud Architect to support the transformation of our data ecosystem. This role contributes towards the banks chief data office and will own the evolution of the technology data strategy towards the CLOUD, where data is truly an asset supporting operational and analytical processes. This cloud practitioner role will be a critical member of the Enterprise Data Architecture Leadership team and service as the Cloud Data Domain across the enterprise. The primary responsibility of the role is to serve as cloud data technical leader maturing the existing data technologies, establishing strategic direction for data technology, and contribute to enterprise architecture across the bank. The Data Cloud Architecture should be well versed in cloud technologies and implementations - specifically AWS, traditional data ecosystems, established data technology direction, and be excited about the opportunity to play a significant role transforming how technology is used into the future. Detailed Description: •Designing and building secure and reliable AWS Ecosystems that support compute, storage, data and application services •Enabling the effective delivery of business value through key solution architecture decisions, including transformation of data ecosystems, life cycle and processes. •Provide support for scalable Cloud data solutions using MPP Data Warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, or Azure Data Warehouse/Synapse), data storage (S3 or Azure Blob Storage) and analytics platforms (i.e. Spark, Databricks, etc.) •Engaging senior business and technology leadership to help them understand the role of data technology, engaging them on the overall strategy, managing expectations, and providing creative thought leadership and insights. •Provide support for multi-tier web architectures with services such as Amazon EC2 Auto Scaling, Amazon Elastic Load Balancing (ELB), AWS Route 53, AWS Lambda, Amazon API Gateway and Amazon Elastic File System (EFS) •Providing thought-leadership for innovating toward the next evolution of technology products, including agile approaches, leveraging big data, cloud platforms and services, advanced analytics, data science and machine learning/artificial intelligence •Supporting the strategic goals of the bank, including alignment with strategic capabilities, target architectures & technology standards; Leading the definition and execution of a road map to deliver a target state supporting business and enterprise goals Basic Qualifications: •Bachelors degree •Min 7 years leading strategy, architecture and execution of projects including min 3 years of hands-on experience architecting, developing, and deploying scalable data solutions in the cloud. Preferred Qualifications: •At least 5 years of hands-on experience in architecture and engineering •At least 2 years of hands-on experience building and deploying solutions in AWS. •Experience working with different types of data - structured, unstructured, and semi-structured in batch and real-time •Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize work, manage supply & demand, and build high performing teams •Proven ability to define and deliver against a strategic road map with in-depth understanding of the business strategy to be supported •Strong communication and influencing skills - with demonstrated experience of actions put into place based on presentation to business & technology executives (Director of Technology, CTO, COO, CIO, Busi   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
