Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels. Ability to lead requirements gathering and logical design sessions necessary to understand and document the scope and business requirements. Lead the translation of business needs into feasible and acceptable data-centric design solutions. Ability to estimate and communicate the work effort to EDW management and Stakeholders. Own the deliverables from inception, review and signoff of the deliverables. Ability to translate business needs into technical designs. Strong experience with EDW development lifecycle (SDLC and/or Agile) Strong verbal and written communication, presentation and customer service skills. Analysis Expertise in Data Analysis, Data Profiling, and advanced SQL programming, (PL/SQL preferred). Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to interpret and analyze data from various source systems to support data integration and data reporting needs. Ability to solve complex integration design challenges. Modeling Experience building and maintaining complex data model assets. Experience with ERWIN data modeler designing conceptual, logical and physical data models Advanced skills in dimensional data model design Experience creating a and maintaining DDL scripts. Experience building Dimensional Data Models for Data Warehouse and Data Mart implementations. Create conceptual, logical and physical data models Kimball frameworks using 3NF and de-normalized dimensional design philosophies. Drive and document the source to target mapping with the ETL developers. Design highly performant structures such as staging areas, integrated data, data marts, and operational data stores. Suggest, document and enforce data warehousing best practices including overall Data warehouse architecture. Review, improve and enhance existing models to ensure compliance with best practices. Strong dimensional modeling and star schema design skills. Experience required with any Data Modeling tool (Erwin preferred) Experience with Informatica PowerCenter is a plus. Experience with reporting tools such as IBM Analytics is a plus. Experience with Peoplesoft is a plus.
