Professional Experience: Seven years or more of experience in programming/software design and development using COBOL and CICS in an IBM mainframe environment (OS/390 – zOS). Three years or more of working experience with JCL and PROCs Seven years or more of design and development experience on VisionPLUS (8.x) Prior experience in high level functional design and architecting large CMS enhancements is a plus. Ability to bridge between business and technical teams is a plus. Self directed with a high degree of initiative and ability to perform with minimal oversight Ability to work cooperatively in a group environment to achieve common goals Job Related Requirements: Critical success factors are technology competence, understanding of SDLC, grasp of best practices and process, ability to manage change, strong communication skills and the ability to act effectively independently as well as in a team setting. Development and support of significant enhancements dealing with interest accrual, payments, fees and billing within Posting module of VisionPlus. Primary expertise in CMS Posting module with secondary expertise in ASM, HCS and SSC/WSS strongly preferred. Experience working with VSAM and IAM files is required. In addition, must be familiar with current debugging tools such as File-Aid, File Manager, Abend-Aid, Fault Analyzer, Xpediter. Design and develop source code to perform the requirements of the application specifications. Develop test data for the purpose of testing whether the program runs and whether or not it meets application design specifications.
