Job Description Engineer: SDLC, QA Engineer, Java, Python SQL Queries EC2 Management S3 Man

Responsibilities

· Perform data quality and data testing activities through all SDLC phases on a project team

· Design & develop automated tests, devise manual tests when automation may not be readily available, and identify candidates for automation

· Perform data analysis activities when needed, to assist developers and business analysts understand a “current state” of data quality

Experience required

· 3+ years of professional coding experience in a language like Python or Java

· Strong SQL skills across varied database technologies (experience in analytical functions, common table expressions, and parsing functions a plus)

· Experience with AWS, including common services like S3, EC2, and Cloudwatch

· Experience with streaming architectures a plus (Kafka, Kinesis, RabbitMQ etc.)

· Strong aptitude for prototyping and learning new technologies

· Experience with testing data pipelines, ETL, data migrations and streaming.

· Experience in developing a strategy and tests for large datasets, and working with large volumes of data in various forms (e.g. RDBMS, JSON, REST services, delimited-files, etc.)

· Experience working on an Agile project team, and being a representative for quality on a project team, implementing features from Development to Production

· Proficiency using common test management tools (e.g. TestRail)

· Breadth of experience in various QA-related roles such as:

o Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

o Automation tester or automation framework developer

o Manual functional tester

o Performance test engineer

o Defect manager

o QA tools, reporting, and metrics specialist

o Test environment or test data coordinator/lead

· Experience with various applications like Jenkins, Maven, Docker, and Git is a plus

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, self-motivated

· Strong communications skills, particularly with engineers & analysts
