We have a 24-month project with our client in Brooklyn, NY that requires an Application Security Developer, Expert Is responsible for reviewing the DOEs most critical applications as they are developed. Day-to-Day Tasks include, but not limited to: Perform detailed source code reviews of both new and existing applications Perform black box application security assessments Perform application security architecture and risk assessments Perform secure development lifecycle (SDL) process assessments Develop application security standards and policy documentation Develop and guide application security training Educate developers on proper secure coding practices Mandatory Qualifications: Works in the field of Information Technology, experienced in the usage and support of development platforms, technical architectures or business applications and products that run on those platforms. Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field. Preferred Qualifications: 84 months of detection, exploitation and prevention of software vulnerabilities (i.e., SQL Injection, XSS, buffer overflows) as well as emerging platform vulnerabilities (e.g., Flash, AJAX) 84 months of reviewing source code and assisting developers in closing vulnerabilities 84 months of performing active black-box penetration testing against web applications above and beyond the use of commercial products or pre-existing scripts 84 months of enterprise application development experience in both .NET and Java/J2EEE 84 months experience communicating with developers as well as technical and non-technical management. 84 months of experience of secure software development life cycle 48 months of experience on application system and code-level security Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university 48 months experience in the public sector and/or education field Languages Must have English Native or bilingual proficiency Additional vendor information Candidate needs to meet 60% of the Preferred Qualifications to qualify for the position.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
