SIEM Network Security Networking Technology Analyst (Jobs in Columbus, OH)   Requirement id 73315 Job title Analyst Job location in Columbus, OH Skills required IT Security Engineering, BS Degree In Computer Science, SIEM, Network Security Networking Technology Open Date 12-Sep-2018 Close Date Job type Not specified Duration 3 Months Compensation DOE Status requirement --- Job interview type Face to Face interview Apply    Email Recruiter: coolsoft Job Description Analyst: IT Security Engineering, BS Degree In Computer Science, SIEM, Network Security Networking Technology Start Date :10/08/2018 End Date :12/31/2018 Submission Deadline :Tuesday 9/18/18 at 10:00am EST Description : Job Responsibilities: • Monitor activities and events to ensure that anomalous behavior is detected, identified, classified and acted upon where appropriate. • Perform system and network analysis of suspected or potential security incidents and escalate the incident to management team. • Perform system/network defense incident triage, to include determining scope, urgency, and potential impact; identifying the specific vulnerability; and making recommendations that enable expeditious remediation. • Use skills and external resources to validate those events as valid or false positive. • Create, develop, and maintain standard practices and procedures to respond appropriately to internal and external threats. • Assesses potential risks and vulnerabilities in the network by establishing status quo for the networks and recognizing any deviations in order to provide actionable recommendations in the event of malicious activity. • Performs risk and security assessments of applications, databases, and servers and supports networking technologies, such as routers, switches, access points, in order to determine if these assets have any vulnerabilities to potential internal or external threats. • Perform other security related activities as assigned. Minimum Qualifications and Experience: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Required • At least 3-5 years of proven work experience as an IT Security Event Analyst/Engineer/Specialist. • Experience with determining appropriate courses of actions in response to identified and analyzed anomalous network activity. • Ability to work in fast paced, rapidly changing environment and a strong desire to learn. • Experience in vulnerability Management on the Tenable Security Center and Nessus platforms • Detailed technical knowledge of database, application, and infrastructure security. • Hands on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, SIEM, content filtering, etc. • Experience with network security and networking technologies and with system, security, and network monitoring tools. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure. • BS degree in Computer Science or related field. • One of industry professional certification is preferred.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
