Position Overview: Lead the design and development of instructor led, quick reference guide, job aid, policies, standard operating procedures and other learning and support materials for business product.

This contract is focused on one Terminix product. Content exists in dated manuals and other docs. It needs to be revised and turned into new hire training, job aids, just-in-time nuggets and standard operating procedures.

The individual would need to be driven to quickly understand, at a high level the product and requirements. They need to be able to communicate clearly and quickly, on gaps or needs so work can move fast.

Exiting content is highly technical and needs to be translated into front-line you do steps.

A review of all content needs to occur to ensure content consistency and inclusion of all required training in the separate deliverables; new hire content, support documentation (forms and policies) and standard operating procedures.

An instructional designer with operations/ product experience should be successful in this role.



The position is responsible to:



Project manage and design and develop all content working directly with senior director.

Proven PM experience. Knowledge and skill to organize, plan, manage, execute and evaluate deliverables.

Conduct analysis of existing training content and recommend instructional solutions; deliverable is Word/PDF.

Develop standard operating procedures, job aids and instructor-led training.

Schedule and manage relationships with SMEs and business partners to meet projects dates.

Establish version control and online folder structure to allow for on-going revisions.

Post/edit deliverables to an online website.

Write communication updates concerning new or enhanced content.

High-visibility project will require weekly deliverables.

Education and Experience Requirements

Proven use of training methodologies and instructional design systems and processes. (Applied behavioral science, Adult learning theory, Blooms taxonomy of learning)

Expert consultation and project management skills; able to manage the analysis, design, development and implementation.

B.A. or M.A. in Instructional Design or a related field plus five years related experience, or equivalent combinations of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills have been acquired.

Extremely organized with high attention to detail; written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to anticipate issues and escalate when needed.

Expert use of business software (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat and Outlook) Proficient Excel.
