Developer will work as part of a team updating existing applications to new requirements as well as the development of new applications. Development tasks will include design, code, test, and associated documentation. The applications developed will primarily use the .Net framework, the C# language, and an SQL database in implementing Windows based object oriented real time software systems for a LAN-WAN TCP/IP environment NOTE: This is NOT an ASP.NET or Web Development position Qualifications: • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English • 5 years experience working with .Net Framework using C# to develop Windows applications • 2+ years of verifiable experience developing multithreaded/multiprocessing applications (not necessarily in C#) • 2+ years of experience with high-throughput high-availability message processing systems. • 2+ years of experience with Windows Services and Service-Oriented-Architecture (SOA) development • 1+ years of experience with SQL (prefer MS SQL Server and TSQL, but not required) with the ability to develop database objects such as stored procedures. • 2+ years of experience with Entity Framework • At least 5 years of real time software development experience with (i) Windows system internals, and (ii) Windows GUI client and Windows server applications Knowledge tests in multi-tasking/multi-threading and Windows client/server application development will be part of the selection process. KNOWLEDGE OF THE FOLLOWING AREA A PLUS: • Experience with business and/or life critical systems highly desired. • XML • AMQP • ASP.NET including web forms and newer technologies • ESRI JavaScript APIs • vb.Net • Team Foundation Server • Railroad or transportation experience DESIRED EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical field.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
