SONET Cisco TCPIP VLANs Administrator (Jobs in Jrfferson City, MO)   Requirement id 11002 Job title Administrator Job location in Jrfferson City, MO Skills required SONET, MS Access Database, Cisco, TCPIP VLANs Open Date 13-Sep-2012 Close Date Job type Contract Duration 99 Months Compensation DOE Status requirement --- Job interview type --- Apply    Email Recruiter: coolsoft Job Description Administrator: SONET, MS Access Database, Cisco, TCPIP VLANs [Note: Submission Deadline : 09/14/2012] Description: Responsibilities: • Implementing Ether-Channel or Gigabit uplinks from ML100T cards to 29x0 aggregation switches or move 2955 string head ends to directly attach to ML100T cards where architecture dictates. • Review and improve Multicast Routing flows from CCTVs. • Implement next generation of CE1000 cards to replace E1000 cards • Implement, Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) when purchased by client, for Sonnet node cabinets • Upgrade the CISCO IOS level in the existing 2955 switch cloud. • Implement new fiber, as it is installed, in support of vlans, and edge instrumentation. • Use new long haul fiber spans to connect any added SONET nodes to the existing Sonnet/ RPR ring structure. • Configuring routing gateways for on new Vlans on ML cards as required. • Filter spurious routes out of ML100T routing tables • Complete SONET ring 4 using fiber provided by client • Maintain Visio network design diagrams (more than 70 individual client construction job-ITS plans, each described by multiple Visio documents), completing those 20+ Interstate and Arterial segments added in the last two years. • Maintain IP address space, using the existing MS Access IP table • Consultant must concisely maintain Vlan space, using the existing MS Access IP table to insure no overlap or reuse of previously assigned vlans. • Subnet vlans down to IP spaces of 62 addresses • Plan and implement OC-48 core spans to replace OC-12 spans, when gear is purchased by client • Replace the 28 field deployed 2950 and 2960 CISCO Layer 2 switches with Layer 3 switches (3560s or equivalent models) as purchased by client • Perform IP Subnet routing in a highly subnetted environment as required.
