They use specific relational database management systems, develop and implement database recovery mechanisms and procedures, and coordinate security measures to safeguard database integrity. What you will do: -Bring deep prior experience to organize and define work for complex or ambiguous situations -Architect complex enterprise database solutions -Installation and configuration, and automation of those functions, of database software and related products -Plan, automate and implement Database backup and recovery -Capacity planning & system-level architecture -OS / Storage / DB configuration and optimization -Database security checks and audits, including compliance-related reporting & controls -Work with database vendor support to resolve challenges as needed -Define and maintain quantitative SLAs and helping enhance current service levels -Database creation, configuration, and upgrades, and automation of those functions -Apply patches as needed for security and bug fixes -Lead complex troubleshooting and repairs -Database tuning (proactive and reactive) -Maintaining specialized environments such as log shipping, replication, cluster-based instances, etc -SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) definition & automation -Disaster recovery/failover services -Participation in On-call Rotation What you will need: -8+ years of related experience with a Bachelors degree; or 5+ years related experience with a Masters degree -Complex Problem Solving Skills -Effective and Clear Communication and Documentation Skills -Ability to multi-task -Deep knowledge and experience with Clustering techniques and technologies -Deep knowledge and experience with Replication techniques and technologies -Deep knowledge and experience with UNIX and Windows Shell and related scripting languages (Bash, Korn, Perl, Python, PHP) -Expert at Database Administration, Security, Capacity Planning, Disaster Recovery and Performance Tuning -In-depth Logical/Physical Database Design -Ability to work independently -PACT - Passion, Accountability, Creativity, and Teamwork (a foundation of Acxioms culture) What will set you apart: -Understands the competitive landscape from both a business and technical perspective -Percona XtraDB or Galera Clustering and Replication -Percona XtraBackup -Veritas or Redhat Active/Passive Clustering and related tools -MySQL 5.6 Certification   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
