Responsible for administrating production SQL servers 2005 and disaster recover servers. . Assisting in maintaining non production SQL servers 2005. (nice to have SQL server 2008 experience addition to SQL server 2005) Responsibilities . To check server health and tune the server. . Monitor SQL logs, SQL jobs, and disk capacity. . Create databases by working with DBA architect/Manager and Development team. . Experience in backup and restore of the databases through SQL native backups. . Work with application, SQL developers, network team to set up new SQL environment. . Work with release group to deploy the database code, SSIS packages by enforcing the DBA standards and resolving the issues. . Manage security and make sure production data is secured always. . Set up transaction replication and maintain them. Preferred if you have strong knowledge in replication. . Set up Disaster recovery server to support the business continuity, need experience in Database Mirroring. Log shipping is preferred. . Good experience in troubleshooting production issue like performance, unexpected issue of Disk issue, server outage. . Experience in using SQL server profiler, Index tuning advisor and etc to troubleshoot performance & other issue as comes. .
