We are currently working on two projects: Active compliance Project and Eikon for compliance manager. Both are high priority and the reason to bring on these workers is to expedite delivery of both projects. If these workers are not brought on board we risk impacting the delivering of these projects. A C# Engineer is responsible for the analysis, definition, design, construction, testing, installation and modification of properly engineered information systems, containing software as the major component, to meet agreed business needs. The candidate will work on, but not limited to, the Thomson Reuters Messaging Compliance product. • Works on medium and large complex projects that are enterprise wide and require the highest level of expertise and multiple technical disciplines. • Work involves collaborating with a team of onshore and offshore developers • Ownership of the technical delivery of a specific architectural domain. • Contribute key technical expertise, potentially global, which may have a direct material impact on Thomson Reuters reputation, and products. • Working with on-shore and off-shore development, test and operations staff • Accountable and takes responsibility for the quality of work delivered. Sets timeframes and schedules to meet customer and business needs. • Defining and developing the project scope of multiple complex projects with assistance from the project team. • Developing software application modules using disciplined software development processes. • Provides assistance in researching new and emerging technologies. • Evaluating new tools, technologies and platforms to be included. • Identifies ways to improve the operation of own area and to achieve efficiencies and results. Qualifications: • Minimum of 5 years development experience. Experience must include design responsibilities as well. • Complex Programming primarily in .NET languages C#, SQL Server and other .NET technologies such as XML, Active Directory and Web Services. • Experience in working with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or 2008. • Experience in writing Unit test cases. • Understanding of Service Oriented Architecture • Hands on experience with designing scalability solutions and performance improvements • Solid hardware and networking skills for Windows Server 2003 • Candidate should have experience with deployment and support of large-scale production quality applications/services • Experience with monitoring/troubleshooting tools such as Perfmon & Event alerting • Multi-Threaded Application Programming • Very Focused and Challenged Desired: • IIS / Web Farming experience a plus • Power shell scripting experience a plus • Engaged in innovative concepts and programming techniques on how to develop high quality software and still maintaining shorter time to market (e.g. Agile and Extreme Programming (XP)) • High awareness of customer service • Financial markets experience a plus Education: Bachelors Degree   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
