The client mandates the development of a system to record and track real time fire occurrence throughout North Carolina. The system shall consist of six modules: 1) An Incident Dashboard to contain real time critical events, resources, fire map, fire map side bar and specific information for each active fire, 2) An Intelligent module to set Readiness Plans based on weather and indices, view weather indices, set status of resources, reassign people to non-default equipment, determine adjective rating, include Good To Go list, and display Readiness Plan map and Adjective Rating map, 3) A Smoke Management/Prescribed Fire Reporting module, 4) An Activity Report (Signal 14) module, 5) A Duty Roster module to log and track by day who has designated duties, and 6) An Aircraft Duty/Status module to allow for scheduling of aviation resources. The system will also contain various administrator utilities and reports, and include a portal view able by the public with pertinent statewide fire information. The successful candidate should be familiar with all aspects of software development including data, business logic, and presentation tier skills. This position will also be responsible for technical documentation of the newly developed system.
