Candidate will be responsible for creating, designing and developing logical and systematic layers used for end user dashboards, reports, KPIs and analytics. Utilizing the Microsoft stack of BI tools (SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS), the candidate will be responsible to: Participate and at times lead in the gathering and documenting of data and analytical requirements. Design a logical blueprint for data design, extraction process, transformation methods, and presentation layout. Provide time and effort estimates for components of the BI solution. Develop logical and physical data model for data marts. Design data warehouses and create data cubes. Develop and promote data management methodologies and standards. Required skills (rank in order of importance): Technical Skills • SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS • Best practice and standards for Business Intelligence (BI) On Line Analytical Processing (OLAP). (Multidimensional - MOLAP, Relational - ROLAP, and Hybrid - HOLAP) • OLAP data models o Tabular Data Models o Dimensional Data Models (star and snowflake) • Data Warehouse Skills o Data Cleansing • ETL Process o Slowly Changing Dimensions (SDC) Types 1,2, and 3. i.e. data that changes over time. SDC Type 1 - Over write data changes SDC Type 2 - Add a row for data changes SDC Type 3 - Add a column for data changes o Staging and Aggregating Data o Error and Data anomaly handling • Multidimensional Expressions (MDX) queries • Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Tool-Set Skills • SSAS • SSIS • SSRS • Power Pivot • Performance Point • TSQL • SQL Server (Performance Tuning) Preferred Skills (rank in order of Importance): Intimate knowledge of CAPSS and LCMS database design.
