Job Description : SQL/.NET Developer 6 month contract-to-hire Ontario, California Description: Overview: This position is responsible for the development of application software to meet product deliverables. Software development experience using standard Microsoft stack technologies is required. Experience with database administration in a development and/or production environment is preferred. Responsibilities include designing and developing application solutions, primarily using Microsoft technologies. Additional responsibilities include unit testing and validation, problem assessment and resolution, process and software enhancements, and documentation to support ongoing maintenance and adherence to all company standards and governance requirements. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: * Develop enterprise-level software that meets business needs using primarily Microsoft technologies * Conform to industry best practices for code construction, software security, data security, scalability, and performance * Provide reliable estimation of work and commit best efforts to delivering work in alignment with those estimates * Consistently maintain a high level of quality in developed code * Collaborate with other technology professionals (e.g., developers, testers, infrastructure personnel, DBAs, external vendors, etc.) on key architectural decisions and delivery of work * Demonstrate diligence, initiative, and follow-through in the execution of job duties * Develop and maintain SSIS packages and workflows, SQL queries, VB/C++ script components, schedules, etc. using TFS for version control * Understand and maintain appropriate data release documentation and approvals according to company policies and procedures * Develop processes to identify and analyze data quality issues and recommendations to resolve * Provide analysis and troubleshooting support to QA, Developers, Support and others allowing them to complete their assignments *Tune queries and stored procedures for optimal performance Qualifications: * Four-year degree in a related field or equivalent experience * Extensive experience developing full-stack web, desktop, and server applications using Microsoft .Net and SQL Server * Experience practicing SOLID object-oriented design principles, implementing service-oriented application development techniques, and applying common design patterns and architectures (e.g., repository, factory, onion, microservices, event-driven, etc.) * Experience working on complex systems integration projects that use a variety of standard Microsoft stack technologies (WCF, WebAPI, SSIS, BizTalk, MSMQ, SFTP, etc.) * Understanding of data normalization/denormalization is required * Experience operating in both fast-paced, mission critical production environments and greenfield project initiatives preferred * Experience working in Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery Agile environments preferred * Full Understanding of the processes of data quality, data cleansing, and data governance preferred * Experience prototyping and developing engaging user interface designs a plus * Experience with coded test automation (coded unit tests, Selenium, Protractor, etc.) a plus * Experience with deployment and release automation a plus * Experience with some older Microsoft technologies (WebForms, WinForms, 32-bit COM, etc.) a plus * Relevant Microsoft and Agile certifications a plus   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
