The Senior DBA (SQL) will administer Microsoft SQL Server as primary platform (with Sybase as secondary skill), including implementation, performance tuning, ongoing maintenance, backup/recovery, security, auditing, production support, migration, providing On-Call support and architecting an adequate technical solution that best suits requirements and needs. New hire will manage the SQL Server relational database management system hosted on the Microsoft Windows 2003/2008/2008R2/2012 Platform running on Physical and Virtual hardware platforms in a 24 x 7 environment. New hire will also provide secondary DBA support for Sybase platform. The candidate will work in coordination with other DBAs and other departmental resources to best meet the overall database administration needs. SQL platform skills: - More than 8 years of experience with Microsoft SQL server in production environment - Experience in supporting SQL Server 2005/2008/2012 on Windows 2003/2008/2012 platforms - Five years of experience working with Microsoft tools like SSIS/SSRS/SSAS - Experience in Install/Upgrade/Configuration of SQL Servers for all supported versions - Experience on Database copy, Database deployment including SSIS package installations - Experience with supporting very large databases including share point environment - Good understanding of Production support roles and responsibilities - Experience with Database Performance Tuning, Query Optimization and SQL server tuning at large environments - Good scripting experience using Power Shell and other applicable tools - Exposed to implementing HA/DR features like Always on, Database Mirroring, Log Shipping and SQL Replication for business critical applications - Good understanding of MS SQL security features and Windows AD platform - Effective verbal and writing communication skills - Candidate should have good Unix background with 1-3 years of Sybase DBA experience   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
