Client is modernizing their systems and data transformation and loading is a significant part of this modernization effort. Required Skills: • A minimum of 5 years experience in implementing, running and troubleshooting SQL Server ETL mechanisms • Specific experience with using SQL Server 2008 and 2012 SSIS for ETL • Experience with ETL in SQL Server 2012, 2008 or prior versions using SSIS or its predecessor DTS • Advanced experience (5+ years) with design and development of complex SQL Server T-SQL, stored procedure, and ETL package/component including: • Error handling, try/catch and TRANS-based structures • Use of multiple schema in a database • Multiple data sources for input • Multiple outputs depending on error or success of steps • Use of custom- and third-party SSIS add-in components; knowledge or use of MatchIT would be a plus; Desired Skills: * knowledge or use of Lysine is desirable • Use of fuzzy-logic for data matching and transformation determinations • Data type and value conversions and transformations • Data type and value standardizations • Data type- and value-based validations, including complex dependencies between data field values • Advanced experience with SQL Server database and table modifications (i.e., schemas, tables, fields) • Experience (2+ years) with .NET (C#) programming; knowledge of CLR is desirable • Experience (2+ years) with SSRS and Visual Studio for report development, deployment and delivery • Understanding of basic mainframe concepts • Reading and understanding COBOL copybooks and data dictionaries • Understanding of data type storage concepts (e.g., EBCDIC, COMP, COMP-3, etc.) and conversions to server-based concepts (e.g., ASCII, decimal, etc.) • Understanding of Change Data Capture (CDC) implementations and customizations • Ability to communicate technically (verbally and in writing) with technical DBAs, legacy system developers, and system architects is crucial • Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) with non-technical business subject matter experts, stakeholders and project managers for clarifications, to elucidate rules, and to provide explanations is critical • A minimum of 3 months experience with client DMV software development practices is requried.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
