Analyzes security risks and plans controls. Develops policies and procedures to implement security practices. Coordinates implementation of security controls. Designs and implements controls. Monitors compliance with security policies and procedures. Security Analyst capabilities with 4-7 years of experience. Familiar with standard security concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. --Success in this role will require experience with the following technologies at minimum: Microsoft Active Directory experience, including version 2003 through 2008 and\or related management overlays such as Hyena; mainframe security; and mainframe application security experience, including experience on the IBM Z\OS platform, Host on Demand (HOD), RACF and Powershell. Additionally, experience with Business Objects security and previous experience with the State of Wisconsin WAMS (Web Access Management System) tool would be beneficial. --Candidate will preferably have experience within a state or federal agency, and familiarity with related standards associated with data security and management functions. This position will work independently and as a member of a team processing access requests and revocations for state applications following defined procedures. This function provides its primary support duties via a helpdesk type model and the candidate will be expected to provide support, as well as develop and maintain professional relationships to support sister agencies and partners, which range from counties and tribes to third party contracting firms working on behalf of the state of Wisconsin. Staff are required to maintain confidentiality while enforcing the laws, rules, policies and data sharing agreements which apply to this function. --On call responsibilities may be required.
